Living & Serving with Intention
We have dedicated our lives to seeing the gospel flourish in Japan. We are currently focusing on ministry among the multicultural neighborhoods of Tokyo East. Our journey began with full-time English teaching. During these years, we grew into volunteer leadership roles in our Kawasaki church.
We believe that local churches are the best place to disciple, evangelize, and equip future Japanese leaders. Moving to one of the world's most populated metropolises has been an incredible opportunity. Our aim is to create a joyful, faith-filled, and loving atmosphere for Japanese and international people to encounter Jesus for the very first time.
Our 10+ year ministry includes regular prayer, young adult discipleship, creating bilingual materials for our church, worship leading, and working with tech for PAZ Japan. We’re excited to see more and more first-generation Japanese believers step up as next-gen leaders. From prayer walking in the streets of Edogawa to sharing time in cafes, our mission incorporates cross-cultural Japanese leader training, missional use of technology, authentic Christian community, and the reality that the Holy Spirit is moving powerfully in Japan today.

Why is PAZ International planting churches in Japan?
We believe church planting is the New Testament model for expanding the kingdom of God and a key component to completing Jesus’ Great Commission. By planting local churches, training local leaders, and leading multiplying family groups, we have seen great Gospel progress in Japan already.

Bringing Grace & Hope to a High-Anxiety Society
Bullying, extreme pressure for students to succeed on high-stakes academic tests, and other societal factors make suicide a leading cause of death for those aged 15-39 in Japan.
While there are other societal issues, we know that Jesus can save, heal, and bring lasting restoration! Your support directly brings grace and hope to millions in Tokyo who have never heard that Jesus cares deeply about them.

Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes. All donations made in the United States and Canada through PAZ International are fully tax-deductible. PAZ International is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in good standing with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA).
How can I give online?
You can set up a one-time donation or recurring donation online at pazinternational.org/doe-en. Be sure to select "Seth & Jess Quant" from the missionary designation dropdown menu on the donation form.
How is financial support handled?
All giving is handled with deep stewardship and care. Subject to rigorous oversight, our funds are managed by the administrative team of PAZ International to ensure that resources are routed efficiently to church-planting efforts in Tokyo East.
What exactly does my financial support cover?
Your financial partnership goes directly toward our living expenses in Tokyo, ministry operations, outreach materials, language study, and some logistical costs of planting a new church campus. We live carefully and budget strictly to maximize every dollar for the Kingdom.
Can I give by check instead of online?
Absolutely. If you prefer to send a physical check, you can make it payable to "PAZ International" and mail it to the PAZ International headquarters in the US. Please include a separate note stating that the funds are for "Seth & Jess Quant" (please do not write our names on the memo line of the check itself for tax purposes). Look at pazinternational.org/doe-en for the current address.
How long are you committing to serve in Japan?
We view our calling to Japan as a long-term commitment. Church planting and relational discipleship in a Japanese context require years of faithful presence, language acquisition, and trust-building. We are here to see generational transformation in the coming decades!
